About Us:
At Surfers Healing Philippines, we believe in the transformative power of the ocean. Founded by Jose Carlo Sia, a dedicated surfing coach, our mission is to enrich the lives of children by introducing them to the joy of surfing. Carlo’s journey began when he witnessed remarkable changes in his own child with autism after coaching him to surf independently. These improvements inspired him to share this gift with others in the remote coastal towns of the Philippines, where access to traditional therapies and support is limited.Surfers Healing Philippines is more than just a surf camp; it’s a community-driven initiative aimed at helping children overcome sensory challenges, build focus, and gain confidence.
We offer free surf lessons to any child who wishes to experience the waves, regardless of their background or needs. Our program is supported by a team of passionate volunteers and a fully equipped surf shack, ensuring that every child, whether they have autism or not, can benefit from the joy and healing that surfing provides.
